There's an interesting story behind this shirt: When it was announced in 1959 that Hawaii was to become the U.S.'s 49th state, Avanti Shirt Co. rushed to create a commemorative shirt. Shortly after the shirt was printed, however, the US announced that Alaska would become the 49th state instead, with Hawaii becoming the 50th state a few months later. The "Hawaii 49" shirt was pulled from stores, and the few originals that survived sell for thousands of dollars today.
But Avanti knows a great shirt--and a great story!--when they see it, and they have re-issued a limited run of Hawaii 49 Shirts, made of 100% silk just like the originals. Get yours now before it becomes a rare collectible too! Available in Large Only.
